Requiem of Oblivion
Exiled daughter of the moon maiden.
Eldresh is the moon maiden’s eldest daughter, and was promised to be married to one of Tiandra’s sons to further strengthen ties between the two courts. Like her mother, Eldresh’s hair is of lustrous silver, with skin as pale as the moon. Her eyes, however, are deep green; a legacy of her father, Oran. Eldresh was always deeply tied to the land, and had a fervent belief that it was her people’s responsibility to defend and nurture it. During her times in Astrazalian studying the ways of magic, she saw much of the natural realm, and the humans who dwelt there. Disgusted by the fledgling race’s self-perceived entitlement to clear away the forests in the name of expansion, she returned to Mithrendain to brood. Nurturing her hate for humans, she approached her mother, begging to mount an offensive against them. Thinking her foolish, the maiden scolded her daughter, and sent her to Senaliesse to marry. Feeling betrayed, Eldresh vanished en route to her marriage, traveling in disguise to meet her father. She pleaded with the green man to take vengeance for all the trees he had lost to human industry. Again she was rejected, and managed to escape before he could take her back home. Lost and bitter, the Eladrin princess wandered for weeks, until she stumbled into Cendriane. Amidst the ruined city she met the Tulgar; primal spirits displaced by the destruction of their homes, bent solely on destroying the works of man. Seeing this meeting as fated, she rallied an army of Tulgar, and marched on Ramistar through a little known fey crossing. Luckily for the natural world, she never made it to that crossing. The maidens Nightwatchers had been tracking her movements, and the horde of tulgar were waylaid in an ambush by Mithrendain forces. Disgraced, Eldresh was stripped of her title, and exiled from her homeland. During her exile, she hovered near the borders of the realm, eking out a living in a long lost temple to the Frost Prince… A place where no one would bother her, until she met the Prophet. A being who had been searching for a solid foothold in the feywild, and saw opportunity in Eldresh and her loyal tulgar. Though she swore allegiance to his “God”, the eladrin beheld its power and saw there the doom of mankind. Eagerly she called in the tulgar horde, and began the assault on Mithrendain to take her mothers throne.
